The Position 

The Sales Manager at 7Gen holds a crucial role in steering the company’s commercial strategies, tasked with driving significant market expansion and fortifying the company’s presence both nationally and internationally. This pivotal position is responsible for translating 7Gen’s ambitious environmental objectives into concrete business outcomes, ensuring that sales strategies are seamlessly aligned with the company’s core mission of sustainability. The Sales Manager is expected to champion sustainable growth and market leadership through innovative and strategic initiatives.

Location and Travel

The head office for 7Gen is located in Montreal, Quebec. This role encompasses national responsibilities and ideally the Sales Manager is based in Montreal or Toronto, with the flexibility to work in a hybrid model. Additionally, frequent travel across Canada is necessary, along with occasional international trips to support the company’s expanding market reach and strategic initiatives.

  • Proven Sales Leadership: Significant experience in a sales leadership role, preferably within the mobility or renewable energy sectors, backed by a verifiable history of success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Negotiation and Deal Closing: Excellent skills in negotiation and the ability to close high-level deals effectively, demonstrating a strong proficiency in converting prospects into loyal customers.
  • Market Insight: Strong understanding of market dynamics with the ability to accurately anticipate changes within the industry, allowing for the proactive adaptation of sales strategies.
  • Lead Generation Expertise: Extensive experience in lead generation and managing customer journeys, adept at identifying potential leads and nurturing them through the sales funnel.
  • Strategic and Tactical Acumen: Demonstrated strategic and tactical abilities to achieve growth and revenue targets, developing and executing comprehensive sales plans that drive business expansion.
