Our client is creating a new business, acquiring independently run companies, and merging them to create a national footprint, focused on providing a world class client experience. This is a newly created role with lots of room to make your mark.

What you’ll be doing

As Leader of People and Culture reporting to the Vice President, Operations you will:

  • Develop the company’s cultural foundation using their values as a basis to raise a positive, constructive, competitive, safe, and inclusive culture
  • Create recruitment and onboarding campaign
  • Perform staff onboarding procedures including new hire orientation, payroll, and benefits setup, introduction to talent tools, and creation of accounts and office access
  • Perform staff offboarding procedures including management of terminations and resignations, termination of accounts, collection of company assets, and exit interviews
  • Assist in developing, rolling out, and evolving the company’s learning management system as it relates to the material creation, training, and updating
  • Support Management with handling and tracking staff probation, compensation, and performance reviews
  • Support the enrollment and cancellation of employee benefits, and support staff with inquiries and change processing
  • Create and distribute internal HR communications as needed
  • Monitor staff morale and company culture and propose and implement appropriate programs and training
  • Respond to HR-related inquiries and provide HR-related training
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of provincial and federal employment laws
  • Support employee engagement and perks programs

We’d love to meet you if you have:
  • Contemporary knowledge of the latest organizational change practices
  • Experience with (ATS) applicant tracking systems
  • Experience hiring for technical, consulting, and sales roles
  • Flexible and self-driven for success
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about all things Health and Safety
  • Ideally, a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field and CHRP designation with 5+ years of experience in an HR role
