Our client, a successful service management software provider, is spinning off a new business focused on digital transformation services and new software product development in b2b verticals.

They’re looking to add a highly entrepreneurial Managing Director to set up and run the unit while they provide the capital investment, support and guidance along the way.

This is the opportunity to run with a business idea without the financial risks associated with it. You’ll be compensated with a fair base salary and generous profit sharing, you’ll have working capital to get the business off the ground and you’ll participate in the equity upside of the business.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Setting up the business from end-to-end with some guidance from the parent company. You’ll have your hand in everything from setting up banking,  accounting and operational systems through to branding, the website, company offerings, sales and marketing, etc. All the basics.
  • Concurrently you’ll also be building a network of contractors to assist with the initial development, sales, marketing, business analysis, project management, and operations.
  • After the website is up and basic operations are in place you’ll turn your focus to sales and marketing with the operational support of contractors.
  • As the business grows, you’ll hire key employees for primary functional areas.
  • Your ongoing focus will be on sales growth, profit, team building, client relations and new product development.

  • Similar experience in the past particularly with technology, software, business services, and/or digital transformation.
  • Have created a new business or a business unit from scratch in the past.
  • Have participated in an ‘intra-preneurial’ endeavour – setting up a new LOB or service offering for an existing company.
  • Experience with P&L and working with budgets.
  • Experience across all functions of business including operations, administration, sales, marketing and finance.
