Position Profile

The Director, Marketing oversees all marketing initiatives for BNP, developing and executing marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, increase sales opportunities, and support company growth objectives within the context of BNP values:

Location: Primarily an in-office position located in the company’s head office in Hamilton, ON 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement both short-term and long-term marketing strategies and plans to support company growth goals.  
  • Manage end-to-end development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across all platforms, traditional media and digital, including video, podcasting, social media, email marketing, conferences and events.  
  • Ensure online presence is in keeping with brand guidelines; provide direction and guidance to ensure web sites are current and contemporary.  
  • Lead market research efforts to gain customer insights and identify new market opportunities.  
  • Oversee all branding and messaging to reinforce Bienenstock’s position as an innovative leader in natural playgrounds.  
  • Analyze campaign results and marketing performance metrics to optimize strategies.  
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, vendors, and partners.  
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team.  
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across the organization to align marketing plans with business objectives.  

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in a marketing leadership role, creating and implementing marketing programs to support achievement of brand goals, ideally within a B2B context (main customers are municipalities, universities and colleges, public school boards, private schools, childcare, and organizations that provide playground facilities for children). 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the creation of integrated marketing campaigns. 
  • Experience creating and managing budgets. 
  • Strong project management, analytical, and organizational skills. 
  • Expertise in digital marketing tactics and emerging channels. 
  • Experience using data and analytics to optimize marketing programs. 
  • Experience building and coaching successful teams. 

Skills and Knowledge

  • Digital Marketing Expertise: Conversant with SEO, SEM, and social media marketing to increase online visibility and engagement. 
  • Content Strategy: Skilled at developing a content strategy that aligns with the company’s mission and reaches a wider audience. 
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Comfortable using data analytics to guide marketing decisions and measure the effectiveness of campaigns. 
  • Customer Engagement: Understands how to use digital tools and techniques, such as email marketing and CRM platforms like HubSpot, to increase customer engagement and retention. 
  • Innovative Campaigns: Ability to drive ideation and implementation of innovative digital campaigns that resonate with the target audience and reflect the company’s values.
