The Opportunity

Psychologist

As a crucial part of the client care team, the Psychologist will address the emotional and psychological challenges that endocrinology patients face daily. In the short term, your focus will be on addressing the unmet mental health needs of the clinic’s patients, helping them cope with the demands of their condition, and enhancing their overall well-being as part of the company’s comprehensive model of care.  Longer term, this is an opportunity to advance to an executive leadership position to help drive growth of the counselling service.

Their multidisciplinary clinics encourage open collaboration with other healthcare professionals, fostering a dynamic team approach to patient care. 

Location

This can be a hybrid position with office space provided at one of the clinics locations in the GTA.

Responsibilities

  • Addressing the mental health challenges associated with endocrine disorders, including counseling and therapy for patients dealing with the psychological aspects of their condition.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals within the company’s multidisciplinary clinics to ensure seamless patient care and communication of patient needs and issues.
  • Evaluating the success of the psychology program based on the quality of care offered and tracking patient outcomes using specialized software systems.
  • Ensuring a commitment to patient care and the willingness to engage with physicians and patients regularly.

Candidate Profile

Experience and Qualifications

  • CRPO Registered Psychotherapist or Member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, with Certificate of Registration Authorizing Autonomous Practice
  • Experience providing psychological counseling services 
  • Ideally interested in working with patients with chronic conditions
